Diane was the girl that changed everything for Sam – he was no longer interested in hitting on every chick he could. Graduating from college and going to work as a cocktail waitress at Cheers, she was catapulted to fame during the 80s. Diane lasted 5 series at Cheers before the editors wrote her out of the script, although her character would sometimes return.
