Cheers was nominated for a huge 117 Emmy Awards but won only 28. The show was also nominated 31 times for a Golden Globe award, winning 6 times.

A colossal 84 million viewers watched the final episode on May 20th 1993 – not bad for a show which was almost cancelled after it’s first season after coming 74th out of 77 in the ratings.
