The other half of Koch Industries, David acts as Executive Vice President at the huge firm. The second-largest private company in the world, Koch Industries makes everything from glass to biodiesel. David, like his brother Charles, is heavily involved in politics and has spent hundreds of millions supporting their various political interests.

David’s life has been a pretty bumpy ride – he’s actually a cancer survivor having beaten prostate cancer back in the 90s. In fact, doctor’s only discovered that he had prostate cancer following a plane crash at LAX, during which everybody else died in first class. Clearly not wanting to take life for granted, Koch has since donated over $1 billion to cancer research causes, along with other charitable organizations.
