9. Remove Toolbars

Hopefully your browser looks nothing like the one in the picture above (you’d probably struggle to load this page if it did), but one other way to retrieve that extra bit of speed on your computer is to remove any unwanted toolbars.

Whilst some browser toolbars add a lot of value (we particularly love this one which gives keeps your searches private and stops advertisers following you around the web), others can slow your machine down and not improve your overall experience at all. Figure out which ones you like using and keep them, and get rid of any which you don’t use any more for an extra speed boost.
